Fortnite is down and its servers are offline: What we know so far

Epic’s Hit Battle Royale Fortnite Game experienced a great blackout at a very uncomfortable time: When most of the children came out of school and wanted to use the new skin they got for Christmas. The problem is, which epic is still investigating at this time, it seems to be very big, because players cannot enter their accounts and game servers have been taken offline.

Previously today, Fortnite players started mass reporting problems entering into the game crossing social media, encouraging a statement from Epic Games noting that it was investigating this problem. A few hours later, the company returned with a less enthusiastic update: game services are offline, players cannot enter, and the company still works on improvement.

Fast forward two more hours to around 3pm ET today, and Epic said that the Fortnite game service is now offline, and even though it doesn’t say exactly what is wrong, the company does indeed signal “problem stability” that might trigger problems. Epic noted that it was looking for a solution, which showed that it might not have improved in the pipe and, therefore, this might end up being one of the longer blackouts of the game we have ever seen during the title.

In addition to following the Fortnite Twitter status account, which published a tweet when there was a problem and when the problem was repaired, the player could also mark the Epic special Fortnite status website, which included the current blackout, the latest update about this problem, and details about which service was affected .

At the time of this article, the status website shows that while the Fortnite website and the operational crew subscriptions, each other service has been hit with “big blackouts” – this includes matchmaking, entry, game services, parties, voice chat, goods shop, rating board, and messaging.

Besides fortnite, Epic also reported that his EPIC games shop had problems, though not dramatically enough. Users can experience “degraded performance” when trying to get into the game shop, download and install games, and similar. The Rocket League also experienced some small problems, but currently limited to degraded performance when it comes to enter and access game services.
